I have ordered a Hydroturf kit and side lifter wedges for my superjet along with hydroturf recommended glue was just wondering whether any of you guys have fitted the side lifter wedges before and will the same glue for the mat kit work for the side lifter wedges? Also is the height to mount the lifter wedges just personal prefference i.e. where feels most comfortable for my foot to catch it?

Thanks
Jono

I think most on here fit footholes - is there a particular reason youve gone for lifters ?

Mainly becuase i didn't want to go the the extend of fitting foot holds just now plan was to use side lifter wedges for a while and see how i get on maybe add foot holds at a later date. Only got the ski last year so still practicing Smile

I can understand you - have you ridden a ski with footholes ? trust me you wouldnt go back

Just thinking if you remat - fit lifters, then decide footholes - you need to remat again - it gets expensive

arent necessary to jump - but are necessary to keep attached to ski Confused

back to your question , i do think the glue supplied for the turf will be right for the lifters

Janker tried the lifter wedges a few years ago, he couldn't get on with them as the tray is not wider with them fitted & they ripped off after a couple of weeks Ouch

The lifters are fine as a stop gap before fitting footholds. I had lots of fun with mine and they work well for getting to grips with doing bigger jumps by being able to lift up the back of the ski.
I used a contact adhesive we had at work and it worked fine but they do come off after a while. the stuff for the hydro turf might work but i would try to find something stronger (and I guess water resistant).

But, if you your not fitting footholds right away side lifters are a great idea for a while but in the end you will fit footholds..
