Im not sure why I cant post in the technical part of the site? But im wondering if anybody could help me? I have bought a Seadoo xp 2001 two days ago. I have had nothing but problems with it. The engine seems to misfire when under load and sometimes cuts out? It wont go in reverse only forwards, also there is a warning low oil beeping sound when theres oil in it? The fuel gauge also reads wrong sometimes. if anybody could help I would be very very grateful, I also realise that this is in the wrong section sorry :( many Thanks Mike

I ride a Superjet (freestyle) Big smile
You need to make 10 posts (good posts , not spam posts before you are allowed into the main forum)
I cant help you out much with the XP, sorry Embarrassed miss fire's are usually plugs, HT leads or connections between plug caps & HT leads.
When you get to 10 posts you can post in technical Clap

Superjet, I would love to have a go on, but to be honest I think I need more confidence on a sit down ski first, but in the near future I probably will be buying one, you can do a lot more with them. Thanks alot for your help Rick much appreciated :)

Hahah, just my luck, two of my friends have one and they have had no problems at all, so I thought it was a good ski, I was going to buy a Polaris but someone told me not to get one as the parts would soon be expensive as the company went bust a few years ago. I do have 3 months warranty with the ski, but its a long journey to where I bought it from, so I was just wondering if I could try and solve the problem myself, I thought it might be something to do with the spark plugs?

If you have a warranty, must be worth the drive, why not see if you can book it in for a while you wait check over?

if you got 3 months warranty then in my opinion use it...if you start messing around with the ski yourself with little knowledge you might invalidate your warranty

No it was a private sale off a holiday camp up there, you may have seen it about, its black and blue, with "coffmans exhaust" written where the data tag should be!! looks the part, yet to try it in the water though... on the subject if this lap of anglesey comes off are you trying it on your xp?
