lightening the stock flywheel gives  you less mass, you have to imagine the enine has to overcome any weight or enercial forces so the first bit of power created by your engine is taken up by getting it spinning (this is called windage)
 
so by lightening the flywheel it uses less power to over come its wieght and mass so the engine will produce power earlyer....if you get what i mean...
 
to lighten a flyheel is £35.

I may sound silly, but how do u lighten a flywheel. whats the good and bad effects of doing this?

Il be coming to your shop soon sprok, as i want some hood holds, and some foot holds fitted. Il give you a ring when im ready though.

Wow, another Kent skier, welcome mate.
As has been previously mentioned, Simon down at Action Watersports in Lydd is a top bloke, but I took my RYA course down at Sussex Marine in Shoreham a couple of years ago, because I wanted to learn in the sea. Believe me, it's a LOT diffferent to skiing on a lake, and if you're going to be skiing mainly in the sea, IMHO that's the way to go.
BTW, if your looking to buy a ski, I've got a 1999 Sea Doo GSX for sale, it's a 2 seater with an 800cc 110 hp 2-stroke engine, I'm looking for £2,250 for it, PM me and I'll send you some pictures.
